{Tidal Potomac Fly Rodders} Re: Sink tip, intermediate, or full sinking line

Thanks for all of the great advice.  I think I'll go for the 250-300 grain sink tip as I'll be fishing from shore most of the time.

I got an extra spool for my 8 wt and I'm trying to determine what line would be best to add on it.  It will likely be used most in the potomac for all species, maybe some salt, and maybe some lake fishing for small and largemouth.  At this time, I don't have a third spool so I'm trying to determine what would be the most useful out of the 3 listed.  Currently I just have a floating line.

Suggestions and explanation please.   Also, I have never fished the striper and shad runs in the spring here in DC, which I plan to do next year.

Thanks
