Fishing out west is not like fishing the great lakes.  Maybe the hatchery streams are a bit different, but generally if you get a fish out west, consider if a good day.

I do have a buddy out there that is really into fishing the beaches for sea run cutthroats.  Supposedly pretty close to seattle.
