Stopped by Holmes Creek this weekend and, surprisingly, the smell is gone for the most part. A few whiffs of that nice sewer stank here and there, but nothing overwhelming. Considering my daughter and I pulled up to the trailhead about a month ago, took one smell, and had to drive away as quickly as we could to keep from gagging, this seems like a small miracle.
Anyone know if the creek will get stocked this fall, or did the water get too scorched this spring/summer?
