Job Title: Business Analyst / Project Coordinator

Duration: 12 months

Location: Irvine, CA

Responsibilities:

 

Global Sourcing Office (GSO) manages the offshore vendor relationships. This role will support the Program Manager with a large portfolio of offshore vendor engagements. The tasks that the role will facilitate and support will include new demand execution, ongoing project transition support for effort owners, and most importantly maturing the sourcing portfolio (moving engagements into fixed price, managed services, facilitating technology and resource consolidation), change/expectations management and helping develop tools and mechanisms to meet the intended objectives.

·         Work (SOW) in working with vendors and effort owners. Assists with scope definition and project planning. Thereafter supports and coordinates all tasks required to transition projects as per offshore engagement model. Assist with the development of Service Level Agreements and associated performance penalties and/or incentives.

·         management. Brings forward good working knowledge of development, application and infrastructure maintenance and quality management.

·         Works on assigned GSO projects in areas of Demand Management, Consultant Management, Risk Management, Infrastructure Management and Reporting.

·         Recommends influences and ensures adherence to Global Sourcing Office (GSO) processes and controls. Ensures contracts go through appropriate approval process before implementation.

·         Strong process orientation is expected - evaluates current GSO processes and controls, recommends and implements changes as appropriate.

·         Identifies issues on projects and works with various stakeholders to resolve them. Develops relationships with vendor personnel, IT staff, and other key business units to ensure issues are appropriately addressed and business needs are met.

·         Broad understanding of remote infrastructure, Information security areas is desired.

·         Conduct feasibility studies, GAP analysis in designated areas and helps build business case for projects.

·         Coordinates risk assessment and impact analysis in working with Information Security team and vendors. Coordinates implementation of risk controls identified across ITG as a result of such risk assessments.

·         Performs vendor/product/services research and assists in vendor/product evaluation. Coordinates vendor meetings and prepares minutes of meetings for broad sharing.

·         Works with GSO team and extends operational processes and guidelines to clients using offshore services in areas of:

o    Infrastructure set Up and troubleshooting (H/W, S/W, VPN, VDI, Citrix, MPLS etc.)

o    Time Tracking & Billing

o    Project Initiation, Transition, Steady State and Close-Out processes.

o    Risk Management & Security

o    Consultant on boarding & location movement coordination

o    Consultant related issue management

o    Legal and Compliance

o    Supports offshore program audits, conducted by internal compliance organizations and external auditors.

 

Required Skills and Experience:

·         Self-starter with at least 6 year of IT experience. Prior work experience in offshore setting with good understanding of matured sourcing models.

·         Strong technical and business skills with experience on business and process modeling. Some orientation to project management is preferred.

·         Good understanding of IT terminology and infrastructure related terms

·         Excellent communication, follow-up and documentation skills.

·         Demonstrated strong organization and follow through abilities.

·         Ability to handle multiple tasks on short deadlines; must be very detail oriented and open to making firm requests from other persons.

·         Motivated self-starter who functions well in a fast paced, rapidly changing and collaborative team environment.

·         Strong MS Word, PowerPoint, Excel and Visio required.

·         Strong SharePoint user preferred but working knowledge highly desired.

·         B.A or B.S College Degree required
