It is with extreme joy and admiration that I get to announce our very own John Bilotta recently took and PASSED his IFFF Two-Handed Casting Instructor certification exam. 

The THCI is a Master level test and requires extreme proficiency in all of the two-handed disciplines - Traditional, Scandinavian, Skagit, and Overhead.  To put this accomplishment in perspective, there are fewer than 90 IFFF Certified THCI(s) in the world, and John now joins this elite list along with the likes of Simon Gawesworth, Al Buhr, Tim Rajeff, Jeff Putnam, and Way Yin just to name a few. 

John has worked tirelessly on this goal for the past several years, as many of you have witnessed when you've seen him practicing on the beach at Fletcher's rather than chasing the next fish.  I've had the privilege of traveling, fishing, and teaching with John both locally and in some far flung places, and I can say with complete certainty that he has gotten as much from his time on the water with you all as you have with him.  We are truly fortunate to have John in our community.  Since he is far to humble to announce his achievement himself, it is my honor to do so.

Congratulations John, my friend.  Hard earned and well deserved!
