Role: SALESFORCE DEVELOPER
Location: Houston Texas
Duration: 4 months with possible extension
Our client has an opportunity for a Salesforce.com Developer. Under general supervision, the Developer provides technical expertise in design, development, coding, testing, and debugging new software or significant enhancements to existing software. Conducts a wide range of quality-control tests and analyses to ensure that software meets or exceeds specified standards and end-user requirements.
Undertakes complex projects requiring additional specialized technical knowledge in software testing. Contributes expertise at top technical levels in particular business processes and is responsible for formulating systems scope and objectives relative to the organization's business plan and requirements.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform the essential duties satisfactorily. Other minor duties may be assigned.
• Develops cost-effective information technology solutions by analyzing, coding, testing, and implementing new and by modifying existing software applications that are relatively complex with full competency.
• Coordinates with users to determine requirements.
• Reviews systems under development and related documentation.
• Resolves customer complaints and responds to suggestions for improvements and enhancements.
• Participates in the development of software user manuals.
• May occasionally acts as team leader on less complex projects.
• May assist in training less-experienced software development staff.
Other Knowledge, Skills or Abilities Required
• A proven functional/technical professional with at least 2 full lifecycle SalesForce.com implementations and 5+ years of industry or consulting experience.
• Extensive experience developing within SalesForce.com.
• Strong configuration and design skills are essential to this position.
• A proven resource in defining systems strategy, developing systems requirements, designing and prototyping, testing, training, defining support procedures, and implementing practical business solutions under multiple deadlines.
• Adept at implementing technology-enabled business solutions for clients as part of a high-talent team focused over-delivering customers' needs.
• Strong technical foundation including; Advanced structured programming - APEX, Force.com, .Net, Java, etc., understanding of relational database concepts and structures, knowledge of SQL, structured system analysis and design methods, etc.
Supervisory Responsibilities
This job has no supervisory duties.

Education and Experience
Required: Bachelor's Degree, or equivalent experience, in Computer Science, MIS or similar area of study. Five to eight years of previous Information Technology experience required.
Preferred: Salesforce.com certification(s)
