Job Title: VBA Programmer Analyst / VB Developer
Duration: 12 months
Location: Irvine, California
General Requirement:
o Proven experience in writing detail requirement and writing test cases.
o Understanding of development life cycle processes, (waterfall model, rapid development model, etc.)
o Knowledge in Visual Basic OO (object oriented) programming or VBA classes/structs - should understand data abstraction (classes, objects, member functions)
o Understand "under the hood" of Windows OS (operating system) and understand how to manipulate windows through Batches, VBS (Visual Basic Script), and API calls
o Understand Late Binding vs. Early binding development and be able to adjust his/her code accordingly
Competencies:
o Microsoft Office
o VBA for MS Office; Able to program and run code for automation of ALL MS Office Products (specifics for Excel listed below.)
o Applicant should have very advanced knowledge of Excel Graphs, Charting and Reports in Excel
o Very Advanced skills in creating Excel forms
o Advanced Microsoft Excel communication strategies with databases using Microsoft Query
o Advanced Worksheet techniques for constructing business forms using ActiveX controls and form controls
o Dashboard and Advanced Formula construction
o Advanced skills for linking separate workbooks and worksheets
o Advanced skills for linking with other applications (OLE)
o Advanced skills for importing text files
o Advanced skills for sharing workbooks
o Advanced skills for constructing time formulas on the worksheet
REQUIRED
o Expert in Access, Excel
o Strong experience with Microsoft Office 2003 and Microsoft Office 2010
o Write/manage VBA code in Access/Excel
o Strong skill set in building and testing applications
o Strong requirement collection and documentation skills
o Strong analytical and problem solving skills
o Strong project management skills and can work independently
o Strong oral and written communication skills
o Candidate should be familiar with taking business requirements and transferring them into database solutions
o 3-5 years SQL
o 3-5 in Visual Basic Applications
o ASP/.Net experience and experience with VSS is a plus
