Welcome to the group! Refreshing to see someone write The Bronx. Thought I was the only one down here. Where’d you move from? Guessing you fished often from City Island/Orchard if you’re a tin/plug fisherman in the Bx.
I live a couple of minutes from the Tidal Basin. I usually don’t get there until 6 or later after leaving the fly shop here in Old Town, but shoot me an e-mail if you’re ever heading there.. maybe will meet up and BS a bit.

Subject: {Tidal Potomac Fly Rodders} I'm new here
Hey everyone I recently moved down here to (Maryland, Wheaton area) and just really got into fly fishing. I moved here from The Bronx, NY where I spin fished with plugs and tins for stripers and blues, so I am not new to Urban Angling.
Anyway I left my spinning rod back in NYC and made the transition to the fly. Its such a better experience. I am really stoked to be out here and want to thank Trent at Orvis in Bethesda for all the help.
I'm trying to meet some new people who are down to fish. I fish after work (after 5) on weekdays at the tidal basin. Looking to explore some more spots soon. Possibly Pine Lake up here in Wheaton this weekend.
