{Tidal Potomac Fly Rodders} Note of interest

I didn't get a photo of this but while walking by Widewater I saw what looked like a dying shad of all things in the Canal. I've heard of shad getting into the canal but unless there was more water in the canal this spring, I'm surprised it made it this far up or was even surviving this late in the year. I suppose maybe a osprey or heron dropped it, or maybe my eyes were tricking me.
