They do not want someone who is strictly .Net, as they will be bored with the VB 6.0 work.  This resource will be working on VB 6.0 over 50% of the time. 

 

The ideal candidate :

Will be working on an application that pushes data to stores used by the POS system. 

Will be proficient with VB 6.0, ASP.Net, VS 2010 and SQL.

Preferred skills:

Webservices experience  

2) Senior Java J2EE Developer (Front End)

Required:

• Solid Java and J2EE development skills with 7+ years  java experience.
• Solid  6+ years hands-on experience with web application development.
• Solid  4+ years experience in SQL and Oracle.
• Understanding of MVC frameworks like Struts.
• Hands-on experience with javascript and some understanding of the AJAX.
• Solid understanding of the java collections framework.
• Hands-on experience with multiple J2EE persistence strategies (DAO, OR-mapping, JDBC, transaction demarcation).
• Understanding of JDBC and J2EE transaction API.
• Object-oriented and service-oriented design concepts, including knowledge of data transfer objects and associated design patterns.
• Knowledge of UML.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to solicit and formalize requirements and work with end users/customers.
• Ability to work in a semi-structured environment where requirements and priorities are dynamic.
• Weblogic Portal 8 and greater experience.
• Bachelor of Science in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering or a related field.

 

Highly Desirable:

• JavaServer Faces (JSF) technology knowledge and experience.
• BPM/SOA product knowledge.
• Experience with agile development methodology
• Experience with Test Driven Design (TDD) methodology
