Skills Required
Strong experience in performing data modeling studies and develop detailed data models.
Must be able to recognize and identify Patterns in Data Relationships from Disparate Systems.
Strong experience in transforming logical models to physical models.
Previous experience of working with both OLTP and OLAP based systems.
Strong Analytical Skills.
Strong SQL Background.
Strong analytical and problem solving skills.
Good background working with quantitative data.
Excellent Oral and Written Communication Skills.
 
Skills Desired
A Working knowledge of IBM?s Universal Data Model for Financial Services.
Some working experience with DB2.
Familiarity with UML would be a plus.
 
Description:
COMPANY Commerce Model Services Team is looking for a Senior Data Modeler to work on an enterprise wide solution for front-to-back execution of all pre and post trade businesses such as Sales, Trading, Risk, Operations, Control Functions
and Finance.
Senior Data Modeler will be responsible for the analysis and design of data models at the conceptual, logical and physical levels and for the development and maintenance of existing enterprise models. This is a critical role for designing databases to support channel applications and enterprise integration of data.
The successful candidate should be able to demonstrate lead level capabilities in conceptual analysis, problem solving, and data analysis. A proven ability to take ownership of business requirements, data analysis and modeling sessions.

RESPONSIBILITIES
Develop and document Conceptual/Logical/Physical design.
Ability to communicate strategies and processes around data modeling and architecture to cross functional
groups and senior levels.
Establish, Maintain and Adhere to Enterprise Data Modeling and Data Integration Standards.
Assists in developing and publishing data management standards, policies and procedures, including the
management and maintenance of related tools and environments.
