Where on Long Island will you be? It’s pretty big. About 2 hours 15 minutes from end to end.

Subject: {Tidal Potomac Fly Rodders} Possible fishing on Long Island
I may be taking a quick run up to Long Island, NY for my sisters baby BBQ (our version of a baby shower. More fun and better food) and just found out that it is the same weekend NY set aside for fishing without a license (June 23rd and 24th). I'm from the area but never fly fished during my time there. Anyone have any suggestions on locations that I can drive to without using a guide or a boat. Would my standard 2/O clousers work well there or should I tie another type or size? I currently have a 10' 7 wieght (possibly on the light side but thats all I got) with a sinking line and a foating line if needed.
