Re: {Tidal Potomac Fly Rodders} Colorful Fish

This Rosyside dace was only 3-4 inches long.  He took my dropper, but the silver sided minnows () were very aggressive and a bit bigger.  They were attacking a black hopper that was about a size 8.

I was out fishing a small stream in upper Montgomery County practicing my tree avoidance strategy for trout fishing.  I did manage to catch a few chub minnows on top and I hooked into this little boy on my dropper.
I thought it might be a rainbow, but it seems to be something else.

Does anyone have any ideas of what this colorful little fish is?
