There is a nice patch of national forest land about 13 miles upriver from bentonville. It is a nice place to camp. I've done a 28 mile float over two days camping there.
-- I've also done a two day float stopping at the guest state park. Nice water there but its kind of expensive and the sites are mediocre.

Anyone have any suggestions for stretches of the Shenandoah where i could plan on stopping along an overnight float? Looks like some sections of river run along park land, so ideally i would like to find a spot to camp along the way as opposed to staying at a campground.
