I fished the incoming tide at the tidal basin last night for about an hour starting at 9PM. Using a 250gr sinking line and baitfish patterns in the 4"-5" range tied in chartreuse and white, I had slow but steady action with Stripers. The main problem was that my night vision never really kicked in and maybe 1 out of 10 casts would land right where I wanted it. I have a feeling the Striper bite is going to grind to a halt with this next cold front, so get your licks in while you can.
