{Tidal Potomac Fly Rodders} Re: Rod Weight and Length for the Larger Trout Streams

I have a Redington pursuit 9 foot 6w that i used to fish all over Colorado the past 2 years before i move here. It worked great for me on the bigger places. I have handled some big trout on it with no problem. I would recomend a 5 or a 6.

Similar to the question on the best rod for the SNP, I was wondering what recommendations people would make for trout on the the larger streams in the area. From the reserch I have done it seems an 8'6" is a good choice because it can be used in so many different situations.
