There are many good combinations. I've purchased several 10' ECHO rods over teh last few years, and really like them. The extra length helps a little with my casting stroke, and mending a couple of nymphs is improved considerably. I also bought a 10'6' switch rod that has been so much fun casting overhand that I haven't learned to spey cast it very well yet.--
