would be nice if they did indeed move up the second stocking to the middle of the season, in the past they usually save the second for the week before water temps hit 70... if we could only convince the lake barcroft folks to somehow convert the outflow to a bottom release... :)
regardless of stocking though, there are fish in there all winter... from the pike to beauregard and during years when there's been a couple high water events they spread out all the way down to Duke st.

TU's website does have stocking Holmes run and Accotink schedule on their calendar on 2/19, but that doesn't mean it was actually stocked that day. I made that mistake on the first stocking this winter, when I went out I found no fish. I learned later that the stocking was delayed due to warm water temps. I found the DGIF website to be more accurate, and it does not list either Holmes or Accotink as being stocked this week.
