I spent five nights there last September back country hiking in both Yosemite and the Ansel Adams wilderness. All of the streams and lakes I saw had trout, but we were putting in long days so i didn't get to fish as much as I would have liked too. I spent the most time on the Lyell Fork of the Tuolumne River. I fished it near it's headwaters and all the way down into the Tuolumne meadow. I preferred the headwaters. Lots of pocket water and eager brook trout taking dry flies. But they were 10-12 miles from the road, so not sure if you are back country camping or not. If you know where you will be Google can be helpful in finding good spots. Tight lines!
