I have a bit of an ongoing resolution to simply catch as many different species as possible on the flyrod. My big goal this year will be to land an offshore/pelagic species - preferably a sailfish, but I'll "settle" for a mahi mahi - on the fly rod.

To follow up from Rob Snowhite's post from last year, and the ones from years past, does anyone have any fishing related New Years resolutions?--How did you do on your resolutions from last year?I didn't post mine last year but I decided that I wanted to catch a fish in their native environment every month, which ended abruptly in February when I went fishless for the first month in a few years. This year I think I need to tone that back a bit and have the goal of catching a new native species, which is somewhat easily attainable locally and especially so with travel.Dalton
