I haven't tried Lake Frank in a while, didn't have luck the couple times I did fish it. My guess would be the dam face is the best place with a fly rod. Try tying larger gurglers on bigger hooks for bass.

I fished from a bank in a corner where the water seemed to get deep almost immediately. I do intend on fishing there more often as I don't live too far from lake Needwood either. I would like to rent one of the boats and explore more of the lake itself.I assume the smaller lake produces as well? Any bass reports over in lake Bernard frank?
Unfortunately I won't be able to attend this beer tie but I'll definitely be at the next one. Do plan on whipping up some gurglers though!
Enjoy the beer tie and hope you guys can stay dry.
