Re: {Tidal Potomac Fly Rodders} Float trip on Potomac - fly suggestions

Chartreuse/white half-and-halfs were better than Clousers this weekend between Dam 3 and Brunswick.  Nice side to side motion in addition to the up and down.

Have fun!

Cheers,

Subject: {Tidal Potomac Fly Rodders} Float trip on Potomac - fly suggestions

2 Dads, 2 11 year olds, putting in at Riley's Lock getting out at Swain's Lock this weekend, 2 nights on the river so we will get 2 evenings and 3 early mornings to try and get some smallies.

Spin tackle for kids (some fly fishing by them may take place)

Me-5wt
other Dad-7wt or so.

I am planning on bringing an assortment of flies such as:

Pink white clouser
Chartruese/white clouser
crayfish pattern
various poppers and foam bugs
stonefly nymphs

No time to tie cicadas.

Any other small mouth killer suggestions welcomed.
