Position:  Security Architect

 

Location: Las Vegas, NV

Duration: 3-6 months C2H

 

 

Responsibilities :

 

POSITION SUMMARY:   Oversees the security design, development, and deployment of technologies throughout the System and Software Development Life Cycle (SSDLC) to meet business needs and adhere to regulatory and internal requirements.     POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:  Oversees the secure design and implementation of technologies throughout the System and Software Development Life Cycle (SSDLC) for all layers of the OSI model.  Oversees the development and maintenance of security standards including, but not limited to, network infrastructure, wireless and mobile infrastructure, operating systems, databases, applications, and emerging technologies.  Fosters strong relationships with Information Technology and partners to ensure reasonable security controls are properly designed and implemented to adhere to regulatory and internal requirements. Provides strategic direction to address risks with existing and emergency technologies. Actively participates in the Project Review Board, Architecture Review Board, and Change Review Board as a security advisor.

Required:

·         At least 7  years experience as a Senior Systems Design or Senior Security Architect.

·         Previous experience with secure design and implementation of:

o    Network infrastructure (firewalls, switches, routers, wireless access points).

o    Operating systems (Windows, Unix, AS/400).

o    Databases (MS SQL, Oracle).

o    N-tier application architecture.

o    Mobile technologies.

o    Web development and coding (JAVA, .NET).

o    Emerging technologies.

·         Prior experience with networking concepts and communication protocols.

·         Prior experience with Architecture concepts and frameworks.

·         Prior experience with systems integration.

·         Excellent customer service skills.

·         Able to lead and mentor a team.

·         Have interpersonal skills to deal effectively with all business contacts.

·         Professional appearance and demeanor.

·         Work varied shifts, including weekends and holidays.

·         High school diploma or equivalent.

·         Able to effectively communicate in English, in both written and oral forms
