Job Description/Responsibilities:
The Software Engineer will be responsible for supporting the SBN services for the eServices offering and other aspects of the functionality of the product as needed. Responsibilities include:
· Providing support, maintaining existing code, debugging, and developing enhancements to the SBN eServices product.
· Handling support requests that are identified through the support processes, managing their priority, and performing the necessary remediation to resolve the issue. Proactively identify and correct application and system performance problems.
· Develop enhancements to the product as requested without detailed direction. Understand and determine the scope and requirements of the enhancements, assist in the creation of functional design deliverables, create technical design deliverables for the requested functionality, and develop, test, and implement the solution.
· Create and update documentation as necessary.
Requirements:
Skills/Abilities:
· JAVA, Javascript, JSP, J2EE, JOSSO, UNIX, Pearl, Apache, Tomcat, TFS, IIS, Web development.
· Knowledge of SyBase or relational database skills.
· Working knowledge of Visual Studio, .NET, ASP, and XML is a plus.
Education and/or Experience:
· B.S. degree in Computer Science or equivalent work experience.
· 3+ years of Information Systems experience as a software engineer in a similar role.
