{Tidal Potomac Fly Rodders} Re: Recommended waders with larger stocking foot?

I did the exact same thing with the simms XL even though I'm a medium/large guy because I need the 13 size foot.  They're big, but work fine when belted.  I have no complaints and I've worn the crap out of them in the few months that I've had them now.  I have no intention of being gentle with my gear ;).

have same issue... went with simms xl. with the belt, don't really notice the extra size. sometimes annoying on the hike-ins if i put waders on at the car but not really that big of a deal. if you're dropping serious cash on their guide series, might be worth it to get the custom socks on a large.

I'm in the market for a new pair of stocking foot waders, but disappointed by the standard sizes offered by most of the major brands. Most of the waders I've looked at (size large) are sold with a sewn-in stocking foot in the size 10 to 12 range. As a taller, more slender guy, I need a size 13 to 14, but don't want to size up to the XL and feel like I'm wearing waders that are big enough for two of me.

Simms offers a custom stocking foot option for about $65 added to the base price of any of their waders - but I'd like to avoid spending the long wait and extra money for the customs if there are other options.

So, does anyone have any recommendations for big footed skinny guy waders? Or, experience with standard size waders that run a little large in the stocking foot? Do any other manufacturers offer a custom stocking foot option?
