{Tidal Potomac Fly Rodders} Re: Recommended waders with larger stocking foot?

I have size 14 feet and I'm 6' 2" and pretty thin. Last year I was steeling myself to spend serious money on Patagonia or Simms waders but I found that a pair of Orvis convertible tops in large-long fits me perfectly. The neoprene booties are supposed to be size 10-12. They are snug but not tight and by no means uncomfortable, even when I wear them for hours at a time. I also find that they fit perfectly at the waist, not baggy at all, and I really like that you can wear them folded down, i.e. like waist-high waders, on hot days when you're not in deep water. I recommend them very highly. Their only flaw is that they only have one pocket. I was just on the Orvis website trying to figure out which ones they were and I didn't see them. They may have been discontinued but I imagine the sizing is consistent. So - my advice is go to the store and try some on.

I'm in the market for a new pair of stocking foot waders, but disappointed by the standard sizes offered by most of the major brands. Most of the waders I've looked at (size large) are sold with a sewn-in stocking foot in the size 10 to 12 range. As a taller, more slender guy, I need a size 13 to 14, but don't want to size up to the XL and feel like I'm wearing waders that are big enough for two of me.

Simms offers a custom stocking foot option for about $65 added to the base price of any of their waders - but I'd like to avoid spending the long wait and extra money for the customs if there are other options.

So, does anyone have any recommendations for big footed skinny guy waders? Or, experience with standard size waders that run a little large in the stocking foot? Do any other manufacturers offer a custom stocking foot option?
