{Tidal Potomac Fly Rodders} Re: NEXT TPFR BEER TIE THIS MONDAY AT NEW LOCATION - WHITLOW'S ON WILSON!!!!!

Hey all, 

A recent Northern California transplant here, I'm really looking forward to hitting the Beer Tie and meeting some of you. Not being on my home rivers searching for steelhead right now is driving me crazy and it would be great to hear more about the opportunities to wet a line out here. While I'm mainly a freestone high sticker, bass pond popper and steelhead swinger, some of your American shad ended out West and we have a blast fishing for those back home. Catching them on their native rivers sound like a great experience. 

In any case, I'll be the guy in the Ted Fay Fly Shop hat drinking a West Coast IPA, if I can find one. See you soon,

PS: SteveF, thanks again for letting me pick your brain when I was scouting 4MR. That was my first glimpse of a fly rod in action out here and provided some much-needed hope.

This is a reminder to all that the next TPFR BEER TIE is this Monday, Feb. 11, 2013 from 7PM-9PM at our new location - WHITLOW'S ON WILSON.  Details and directions can be found on our EVENTS PAGE along with BEER TIE dates through JUNE.  As you all know, this will be our VERY FIRST BEER TIE AT WHITLOW's, so let's knock it out of the park for our new hosts.  Remember to come equipped to tip your servers well.  Also, since Monday's special at Whitlow's is HALF PRICE BURGERS, that should free up some cash for an extra BEER! 

 

Once again, we will be collecting flies for the upcoming CCA Banquets (see January's BEER TIE thread), so please get ahead of the game and tie a few flies to donate this weekend.  Then, all you have to do is drop them in the stripping basket when you arrive.  Salty patterns are preferred, but we will take all types!

 

Also, I have set the April BEER TIE/TPFR 4-Year Anniversary Party - on our actual anniversary.  The April BEER TIE will be held on April 1, 2013, so mark you calendars now!

 

With our new space capacity of well over 100, I'm looking forward to seeing more TPFRers than ever at the next TPFR BEER TIE this Monday, Feb. 11 from 7PM-9PM at Whitlow's on Wilson!
