As it turned out we ended up having a banner trip after the rains came. Once the water rose and put a little color in the water the steelhd started to move out the the few holes they were stacked up in with 16 fishermen in each hole harassing them. I believe also that there were some fresh fish that moved in because some of the fish were chrome bright. All 8 of us in my group had multiple hook ups each day including my one of my sons who was on his first steelhead trip (unfortunately he was not able to land any of them).
Again, it was fun meeting up with you guys and hopefully we will meet again streamside.

I've only fished the Chagrin since it's 15 minutes from my parents house in Chardon, OH. My dad was just out on the Chagrin yesterday and he caught one and hooked up with a few more. Around noon, he headed to Conneut but had no luck. I know the tributaries can change daily, if not hourly, so take this with a grain of salt... but he said the flow on Chagrin was great. I'll be wetting the line when I'm up there for Thanksgiving, as well.--
I was actually up on Twentymile in PA last weekend with my girlfriend, dad, and his girlfriend, and I ran into a fellow TPFRer (his logo cap tipped me off). If you're reading, raise your hand! Small world... So during our 3-day trip to the PA tribs, we each hooked up with enough fish to maintain our interest, but we (and no one else) was crushing them. It's still great to get out there, regardless of the result. If I succeeded, you'll see a few pictures from that trip attached below. If I failed, use your imagination :) Best of luck in OH!
