Role: SQL/BI Developer

Location: Chicago, IL

Duration: 6 months

Candidates must be local or willing to come on-site for personal interviews.

Must have great communication in that they will be interacting with Motorola's customers to help determine needs.

 

Top Five Skills:                

1) Business Analysis germane to working with customer facing groups in order to determine what needs to be built, then work end to end to create reports, must be adaptable and willing to seek out solutions with limited direction.

2) 3-5 years of SQL Query development

3) Proficiency with MS SSIS package creation

4) Proficiency with MS SSRS report development

5) 3-5 years RDBMS

 

Job Description:                             

Motorola is in the process of expanding their service offerings to customers in line with their managed /advanced global service service(s) strategy. There are a variety of existing and to be created services that will require reporting capabilities and someone with a strong report development background is required.

Will be required to analyze data and partner with team members to ensure report accuracy and integrity and identify issues related to reporting. Will be creating reports to correspond with customer expected outputs.

Must be capable of interpreting ambiguous requirements and translating them into meaningful, value-added reports.

Will be producing reports from various different applications/data sources.

Experience creating visually appealing reports for executive leadership and external clients

 

Additional Information:                             

The selected candidate for this position will be required to analyze data and partner with team members to develop ETL packages to load Oracle data warehouse, develop reports, ensure report accuracy and data integrity. Additional characteristics and expectations for the candidate for this position include but are not limited to the following:

- Ability to create and modify ETL packages utilizing SSIS with inclusion of Event Handlers/Error Handling

- Creating SSRS reports to correspond with customer expected outputs.

- Maintenance and development of OBIEE reports (new and existing)

- Capable of interpreting ambiguous requirements and translating them into meaningful, value-added reports.

- Identify and resolve issues related to reporting deliverables

- Producing reports from various different applications/data sources

- Experience in creating visually appealing reports for executive leadership and external clients

- Identifying key performance indicators and metrics

- Effectively visualize information
