--As many of you know, Melody, VA, Paulie, and I spent the last month on Andros Island in the Bahamas celebrating our 10 year anniversary. We fared very well during Hurricane Sandy experiencing only high winds and rain for a night and no power for a day. We prepped well for it and took our cues from the locals while tracking the storm on Radio Bahamas 1540AM. While the fishing was incredible and I fished nearly every day, by far and away the highlight of the trip for me was spending that much time unplugged and uninterrupted with my favorite people on the planet, and learning how to live together in another land which is very different from our own. Expect a full trip report or several in the near future. On a separate note, I am super proud of everyone here for keeping the forum alive and vibrant in my absence, and for keeping it clean and positive throughout! We experienced a record number of postings for both the month of October and already for November thanks in large part to an AWESOME thread about drinking! Thanks to Dalton for moderating and to Miles and Rob for hosting the November BEER TIE! I am excited to see all of you again soon.Dan Davala
