{Tidal Potomac Fly Rodders} 4MR Sunday

Hey, to contrast our lack of success at hemlock on Friday we couldn't keep the fish off of our lines today at 4MR.  We fished from a little after high tide until about 11:00.  We ran into one other guy fishing the outfall, but saw no one else.  At the outfall we didn't have any luck at all, but when we walked further down we switched to top water flies and the fish were hitting on every cast....it was ridiculous.  I lost count of the bluegill (most small, some pretty chunky), and managed to get 3 smaller largermouths as well (nothing to brag about).  It was really a blast out there.  I kind of wanted to stay and fish the tide coming back up this afternoon, but our fingers were pretty cold and we just walked back.  I haven't quite figured out the hands thing yet -- I like my hands free, but they obviously get pretty cold that way.  I need to find some heavy wool gloves or something....

I was using Rob's foam depot pattern tied with black insulation foam, my wfie was using a blue boogle bug popper.

Anyway - just figured I'd post a heads-up.
