I've never fished around Delray, but I have fished the keys alot. If you haven't fished flats before, I would recommend giving some serious thought to what your goals are for the trip. They keys are a tough place to fish for bonefish if you haven't done it. There aren't as many fish as there used to be, and the ones that are there are pretty demanding. If you want to catch one, by all means go for it but if you want more likely action be sure to find a guide who does other stuff and be sure to let him know your goals for the trip. There may be more options for that type of fishing in other parts of florida further north of the keys. The everglades could be one option.
-- February can be tough as well. If the wind lays down the tarpon fishing can be really good though. There might be a couple days in a typical february where that is the case.

Morning Y'all,I'm planning on heading to Del Ray beach/the Keys in the next few weeks to take my Mom out for a day or two fishing (it was her mom's favorite place to go fishing). Hoping to do some bonefishing/maybe fish the flats but not my area of expertise and don't have equipment so would need a guide. Does anyone have any guides in the area they could recommend (didn't see any in the archives)? Thanks,Josie
