{Tidal Potomac Fly Rodders} Re: baby tarpon.....

I've fished a pretty good deal out of Islamorada. It sounds like you may be looking for some self guided trips. However, two guides that are pretty good and would put you on the size of fish you are looking for are Captain Skip Paxton (Ivory Keys Charters) and Captain Jack Lavin (out of Lorelei). They are old timers who have incredible knowledge of the area.

I've fished for tarpon in the Keys several times and had a 100lb fish on for about 20 minutes before he threw the fly back at me.  It was amazing, but took a lot of time and money to get to that point (some of it on me - nerves go to pieces when 15 big fish show up for 15 seconds).

I'm interested to know if anyone has experience/knowledge/guides on where to fish for 15-30 pound baby tarpon, which I assume to be more numerous and as much fun (at least for me) as the big guys?  I'm heading to Florida in February for a couple of weeks.
