Looking for recommendations on can't-miss fly fishing opportunities for Italy and Spain. Quick google searches turn up the Pyranees in Spain, and Northern Italy for cold mountain streams featuring brown trout and grayling -so that's my jumping off point.
Does anyone have any ideas for towns in which to stay and rivers in which to cast? I imagine I'll be renting a car AirBnBs along the way. I'm looking to do it on the cheap, so no lodges and guides (maybe a half day for an inexpensive guide.)
My girlfriend is a wine lover, so Tuscany also sounds like a good option from what i see. Thanks for any and all recommendations.
