I've read that the 17-yr. cicada hatch is/was supposed to start in mid-May, and that Ohio, West Virginia, and "surrounding areas" will be impacted. Has the hatch actually started yet? Is this hatch likely to hit Real Virginia or Maryland? How long will it likely last for? Is fishing cicada hatches just a dry fly game, or are nymphs in play too?
-- I'd appreciate any cicada hatch fishing stories and/or advice any of you could offer. Thanks in advance.
