That's why you match bamboo rods with heavier reels than you use with graphite. When you do balance out a good bamboo rod with the appropriate reel, while still heavy compared to graphite, the casting is suprisingly easy, throwing a long line is less work and it's not as tiring as you think it would be with such a " heavy" outfit.
