I have nothing against mudhole other than their shipping charges are high, but they have the nicest website with lots of good info.
For a bamboo rod, I would use silk. YLI 100 is nice and can be found at a local quilting shop or at a rod building supply. Capital Quilts in Rockville carries it. I do get funny looks going into the quilting shop, but its better there then in the yarn aisle at Jo Ann's Fabric. :-)
Hook & Hackle and Utmost Enterprises are other places to get supplies.
