Yep agree - was out today with my brother and a couple of colleagues from work from 11 to 3 and though there was some wind, folks were catching on a rather slow bite. My brother and colleague got into a nice school and caught about 10 each from 12 to 2. I was teaching a 14 year old kid from Wyoming not to "trout-set" on shad, then making the same misstakes myself!

Played hooky and fished from 9 - 12:30. River is very low and clear. slow start, but it got pretty hot around 11. I ended up landing 11 hickory shad, all large except one around 10 inches. Weather was pretty good, wind came up and down, and temp was warming whole time. Most of the fish were toward the southern end of the drift. Seemed like most of the hits were happening mid water column.
