Remick, your adroit and very topical comment has actually made me realize something profound. Has anyone ever heard of Godwin's Law? TL;DR, it postulates that the longer an internet thread continues, the probability that someone will bring up Hitler or the Nazis approaches 1. I would like to propose a corollary theory that applies specifically to fishing forums and discussions: in a conversation about fishing rods, the longer the conversation goes on, the probability that someone will say "just the tip" approaches 1. Someone else can name it something clever.
