I live right by Royal Lake and fish it all the time. It's great for small bass and bluegill. The whole thing is pretty shallow and fishable, and there are a half dozen different places to park and access the lake.
-- The stream has a lot of bluegill and can be a nice hike, I like to use my 3wt or tenkara on it. Occasionally you can find some good-sized largemouth cruising the stream.

Thanks all for the help. I'll be sure to check it out soon. Anyone know about Royal Lake and the stream that feeds it? Based on Google maps, it looks like near the baseball diamond there would be are in the shallows and possibly upstream into the woods. Any intel? Thanks in advance!
