{Tidal Potomac Fly Rodders} Re: Woodrow Wilson bridge

It might work better from a boat vs. the bank -- a fast, full sink (something like a 'depth charge') counted down for a full minute (or whatever puts you near bottom based on the grain weight and diameter) and you might pick up one of the 20,000 blue catfish or the 1 longnose gar (Herbert) under there.

We don't enjoy fly fishing extremely deep water like that.  I like lots of light penetration and photosynthesis where I'm fly fishing -- that's more fun to us, and it's all about "fun" (the stuff above ^^ isn't fun to us, we'd rather use cut bait or live mummichogs for that).  I attached one we caught a few years ago in that area (see the bridge in the background) --

We = Beth and I, I haven't switched prescriptions or anything.

Signed,

I biked under the Woodrow Wilson couple weeks back seeing like 15 guys fishing off docks for stripers and cats. Is this spot with fishing with a fly rod? I have full sink line. What's flies do you suggest for this area if you have fished it before? Where around this general area of the bridge is best for a fly rod?
