Like boat drinks says, the Honda or Yamaha 2.5 HP motors are light. You can lift one with one hand, even loaded with fuel. My fishing partner has one and Mike Bailey is using one. It can push a Fletcher's boat quite nicely.

how do you intend to get the battery there on your bike? I'd look for a 3hp honda or something with a self contained gas tank for ease of transportation--

55 will move me around the Cove proper fine but unless it's an incoming tide with flows under 15,000 getting up above the cove is a chore.
