{Tidal Potomac Fly Rodders} True Confessions: Found and lost in Weverton

Early this morning I found myself connected via a Chartreuse and Pink Clouser what was possibly a personal best smallie.  After 3 big jumps and getting her on the reel, I started to move into slack water near the bank to land her. Lost my footing. Dropped the rod. Scuffed up my palms and knees. And kissed my 20+ year old 9 ft. 7/8 wt. Cabelas Fish Eagle II outfit goodbye. Spent 3 hours scouring the area hoping to find it. It is, more like was, my first fly rod.

So if y'all happen to find it somewhere below Weverton Falls, and possibly still connected to a 18+ inch smallmouth bass, I'd love to get it back. ;-)
