{Tidal Potomac Fly Rodders} Re: Father's Day fishing trip report

That sounds excellent Terry -- I'm not a father,  but I spent the day fishing the Delaware Bay with Beth.  Had a great time but didn't catch anything other than 3-4 horseshoe crabs by accident. 

It sounds like you had better luck with the fish ;0.

Got on the water about10:00.  There is a 2 mile fly fishing only, catch and release section.   We didn't, have to walk the path very long when we came across a pool loaded with trout.  Didn't see anything hatching, but heard this loud buzzing noise.  It was the cicadas that I had been disappointed by down here.  They were everywhere on the ground. Tied  one on  and went to town.  They must look like a big jucie steak to them.   Fishing was great, beautiful browns 8"- 14" coming to the surface time and again looking for a big fillet lunch.    After a day of leapfrogging each other on the stream we left about 4:00  and watched my daughter play her soccer game.  Being able to trout fish and spend time together with was the perfect Father's Day.   Hope all the other Father's enjoyed your day also.
