Yeah! Houli -- just to give you a tip from Missouri so you'll know in the future, Beth and I usually toss our trout into the grass vs. the rocks, because they're easier to grasp that way.
-- Kidding aside, I see nothing wrong with this post. I don't know Houli, but for all I know he could be one of the nicest, most pleasant guys to share the water with -- and I'm sure he releases fish healthy when the law specifies it (and maybe when it doesn't - then it's everyone's own choice). There's no reason to give him a hard time about a picture, when for every trout on the rocks, there are probably 2-3 idiots out there poaching fish and leaving their trash on the bank.
Fly fishermen waste so much time bickering over trivial, made-up rules when there's already a common enemy. You probably meant no harm, but posts like that come off as condescending...and it's just a fishing forum ;). And I'm probably the biggest moron on here.

Something a little Neanderthal abt first photo of "bow on the rocks".I am sure both trout and anglers would be better off with revised approach to capture the moment.Another good thing about the creek there is frequent Ranger checks for your fishing license.Likely effects potential poaching, so always welcome. Thanks for your report.Glad you had a good dayOn Friday, December 13, 2013 1:31:44 PM UTC-5, Houli wrote:
Got out and fished the winter storm on Big Hunting last Sunday. Cold day but was able to get some action: 7 rainbows landed and 5 others missed. Fish were in deeper slower water … all came on sz 16/18 bird of prey caddis fly.
