Throwing something out there for consideration - how about the Saturday after Christmas at the 4MR park - lots of grass just East of the parking lot to cast some lines, and some sunfish (and a bass or two) by the outfall to test out some of the ones that perk interest.
I'm booked through that weekend. Too much Christmas cheer.
Though early this Saturday is tempting since the weather is supposed to be warm.
That location sounds good, as long as the parking is OK. I've never actually been there to fish, but I've driven by the area. I like the fact that there is a Starbucks close by.
