I floated mile 13 to 19 of the Shenandoah last weekend with my wife and father-in-law in a couple of canoes. I brought the fly rod, but ended up fishing with spinning gear almost exclusively, so I can't offer much intel on fly selection. However all the fish we hooked were caught in water with similar characteristics: 2 to 4 feet deep, flowing at a walking pace, riffles below and between ledges. Don't forget your polarized glasses!
