A little further afield, you might try Cowans Gap State Park, just north of Mercersburg, PA. If you have ever skied at Whitetail, you just drive another 20-30 minutes. Camping, fishing in the lake, level trail around the lake amongst others, and hiking along the Tuscarora Trail for a change.

Greenbrier State Park in Maryland is pretty close and open. Right off of I70 past Frederick. 1.25 hours away (with no traffic). The Appalachian Trail passes through the park. There's a trail from the campground to to the AT. There's a lake but it's kinda silted up.
