I was able to enjoy a great day with my son yesterday out trout fishing. Time spent with family is priceless, better than any gift you could receive. With 2 young adult children it's hard to get everyone on the same page with schedules, yesterday worked out great. My daughter had a soccer game near Harrisburg Pa at 5:00 pm so my son and I left the house at 7:00 Am for Clark Creek just north of Harrisburg. I had never Fished it ,but read good reports about it and had been looking to get up there. The trip up rt.15 is always a beautiful drive. We stoped in Dillsburg and had a great breakfast at Bakers Dinner. (highly recommend it ). Got on the water about10:00. There is a 2 mile fly fishing only, catch and release section. We didn't, have to walk the path very long when we came across a pool loaded with trout. Didn't see anything hatching, but heard this loud buzzing noise. It was the cicadas that I had been disappointed by down here. They were everywhere on the ground. Tied one on and went to town. They must look like a big jucie steak to them. Fishing was great, beautiful browns 8"- 14" coming to the surface time and again looking for a big fillet lunch. After a day of leapfrogging each other on the stream we left about 4:00 and watched my daughter play her soccer game. Being able to trout fish and spend time together with was the perfect Father's Day. Hope all the other Father's enjoyed your day also.
team play . Great father,s day fishing and spending time with family.
