{Tidal Potomac Fly Rodders} East Cape Driving

Anyone have experience driving around and fishing the East Cape of Baja, Punta Colorada and Punta Arena area?  I'm trying to figure out what provisions I need to make for offroading with my "VW Jetta or similar" rental.  Shore access and parking seem to be difficult to come by.
